About A New England History - The Towle/Stoyle Family Tree
This is a big family with a lot of interrelationships given that so many were
early settlers of New England, families stayed close and so frequently
married within the community. I am fascinated by the complete
interconnectivity of these early pioneers. Please feel free to send comments,
corrections or additions to this information and PLEASE sign the Guestbook!

I am also the Administrator for the TOWLE Surname Project on FamilyTreeDNA.
If you are a male with the last name of TOWLE/DOWLE/DOWELL/DOLE please cut &
paste this link (www.familytreedna.com/public/TowleNH) into your browser for
information and to register/contribute to the study OR click on the link
provided below!!

The early basis for the Towle family information is William Haslet Jones work
with corrections as appropriate. Additional current research is from
documented historical data in other books, regional historical societies &
records, DAR information, Genealogical Societies, cemetery records, family
papers, as well as other records and documentation.

The original Stoyle/Stoyll family information is based on family letters,
bibles and was first undertaken by my grandfather, Lewis Everett Stoyle, Sr.
and then further continued by my mother, Janice Louise Towle Stoyle before the
Internet made things a bit easier (but not necessarily more accurate!).

Additional research is continually being done by me, through reviewing
existing family documents and verifying data via vital records, genealogical
society information, Ellis Island information and other records.

Information on this site is substantiated up to the gateway ancestors. I
generally will not post information unless I can substantiate it from at least
3 sources. In those cases where I do not have 3 sources and the information
is compelling I will include it but include a note stating that the data has
not been substantiated.

Have fun!
